DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Orpheum Theatre’s 96th Anniversary with a screening of Buster Keaton’s classic silent film SEVEN CHANCES\, accompanied live by world-renowned organist Ron Rhode on the Orpheum Theatre’s Might Wurlitzer pipe organ.\n\nStruggling stockbroker Jimmie Shannon (Buster Keaton) learns that\, if he gets married by 7 p.m. on his 27th birthday — which is today — he’ll inherit $7 million from an eccentrichim down\, he has only hours to find a woman who’ll marry him.\n\nSEVEN CHANCES with BUSTER KEATON is presented by The Friends of the Orpheum Theatre in partnership with the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society.\n\n\nThis event is a fundraiser with all proceeds going toward providing historic\, educational\, and fundraising support for the Orpheum Theatre. DESCRIPTION:The Phoenix Art Deco Society will be supporting the Arizona Concours through volunteer efforts and will be providing jazz dance entertainment on January 19th! We are excited to be a part of such a prestigious event that contributes funds to the Make A Wish Foundation. \nCar enthusiasts are invited to join the public for this one-of-a-kind car show that features cars of all eras\, refreshments\, and even a vintage fashion completion. All guests must purchase their own tickets and can arrive at any time during the event to check out the car show.  \n \n  \nWhat is the Concours?\nA curated and judged exhibition of the world’s finest collector cars\, the Arizona Concours d’Elegance is a celebration of automotive design\, supporting the arts and local artists. \nThe event is presented in partnership with Scottsdale Arts\, the nationally recognized arts organization responsible for public art projects for the city of Scottsdale. \nThe Concours invites more than 100 select rare and exotic automobiles to be considered for judging and exhibition\, with the best among them earning class awards and the coveted Best-of-Show. \nMore than 150 volunteers support this event as well as judges from the United States\, Canada\, and Europe. The event has welcomed spectacular cars from some of the finest collections across the United States as well as Europe\, South America and Canada.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Phoenix Art Deco Society for an Art Deco walking tour of Downtown Phoenix and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Art Deco in 2025! \nDiscover the architectural style that swooned the world in the 1920’s and smuggled itself into the young Phoenix cityscape amongst Italian Renaissance Revival\, Spanish Colonial\, Classic Revival and other fascinating architectural styles. \nMarvel at the historic architecture of the 20s and 30s hidden in plain sight on this walking tour.\nWe encourage you to dress the part as we embark on our 1.5-hour journey (walking shoes are recommended).  \nTour Highlights​: \n\nLearn the basics of Art Deco and its influence\nEnjoy the exquisite architecture of the Luhr’s Tower\, Professional Buildig\, the Maricopa County Courthouse\, and other architectural gems in the downtown area.\nStep into a couple of public lobbies from the 1920s and 1930s\nLearn more about the culture of the 1920s and 1930s in Phoenix and around the world!  ​\nWe will end our tour at the Professional Building (now the Hilton Garden Inn) where you are welcome to stay for a cocktail in the lobby\n\n  \nDATE: January 26th\, 2025 \nTIME: 3:00pm – tour will start promptly. \nMEETING LOCATION: In front of the San Carlos Hotel (202 N Central Ave\, Phoenix\, AZ 85004) – find your tour guide dressed in 1920s garb! \n  \nTICKETS: \n$15 for members \n$25 for non-members \nClick below to purchase your ticket!
