“Join us for a swellegant virtual lecture celebrating the influence of Art Deco–era Paris on legendary songwriter Cole Porter. Hosted by singer and theater historian Mary Stanford, this event explores Porter’s 40-year love affair with the City of Lights through stories, video clips, and a dash of backstage gossip.
Discover how Porter’s time in 1920s Paris inspired his signature mix of wit, sophistication, and playful charm, heard in timeless hits like “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love),” “Begin the Beguine,” and “I Love Paris.” We’ll also spotlight some forgotten gems that deserve another listen.
