The Art Deco Society will take on the Martin Auto Museum on September 28th! Martin Auto Museum has over 170 vehicles, including classic cars, hot rods, customs, imports, and much more. It also has one of the largest collections of auto memorabilia, antique gas pumps, and signage anywhere! Whether you are a car expert or know nothing about them, this event is for you.

For Society members, an expert guide with Martin Auto Museum has hand-picked several deco cars to highlight the evolution of the automobile and their design in the Art Deco era – relating it to other mediums of decorative arts in the 1920s and 1930s. Art Deco elements in these automobiles can be found in architecture, fashion, industrial design, and more. Learn about these marvels of engineering and art!

Unlike other museums, you can even step into these cars to see what it would have been like in the driver’s seat (and take some great photos)! After the tour, you are encouraged to walk around the rest of the museum to experience cars from every era. Museum volunteers and guides can answer any question you may have on the collection. Each of these special cars has a story to tell.

Martin Auto Museum is generously giving our Society a group discount – only $10 per ticket ($15 for non-members)! Your tickets will get you entry into the museum, access to our curated Art Deco Society tour, and access to the entire museum for as long as you wish. One could definitely spend the entire afternoon admiring their many exhibits.

Vintage attire is strongly encouraged! We will even have a photographer join us to take photos in and around these antique cars!

Cars in the Deco Era Tour time: 10:30

Please meet our board members in the lobby to gain access to the museum starting at 10am. You may wander the museum and join us back in the lobby area where the tour will start promptly at 10:30am. After the tour you are welcome to stay as long as you like. Again, please meet the Art Deco group in the museum lobby to receive the museum entry.
